I gained my PDC in 2011 and my diploma in 2021. My passion is teaching school kids how to grow vegetables and appreciate the environment. I worked for three years with a South Auckland (New Zealand) school developing a permaculture programme, designing and building Te Maara Kai o Wirihana (the food garden of Wirihana, the local Maori chief) at https://www.facebook.com/manurewagarden/ which I am very pleased, and proud to say it is still going after 6 years.
I also developed and taught a modular PDC which was presented on our farm outside Auckland once a month for 12 months. This is a up to date version of the traditional PDC developed by Bill Mollison. It ran for three years and was highly regarded. This winter I will adopt it for Irish conditions and hope to present it again starting next year.
